Interests are in aerosol science and engineering; nanoparticle technology; energy, air quality engineering; environmentally benign energy production; combustion; materials processing for environmental technologies, environmentally benign processing, environmental nanotechnology, and the thermal sciences.  Specific focus on particle formation and growth dynamics in high temperature environments, with application in controlling particulate emissions from combustion sources and processing of materials by aerosol routes for environmental and energy technologies.
